Time from survey to report?

Anyone have recent experience of how long it takes a surveyor to write up their report after completing their visit?

We have our purchaser’s (level 2) survey on our house tomorrow, and I’m torn between paying for the survey on our purchase now and getting it booked in, or waiting until our purchasers have had their report back in case they want to mess around on price and it all goes pear shaped!

if it’s usually only a few days I’ll probably wait, but if it’s a couple of weeks I’ll just get our survey booked in as I don’t want to cause a delay.

Ours was super quick, think it was done by the next day :)

I hope so too. Just bear in mind they may receive it, but it might take a while to digest it as well as raise any queries, so although they may have it quickly, doesn't mean you will know the issues. They might also need to do further surveys (we did an asbestos one after the initial one).

DD just been through this, she had the full level 3 survey as 150 year old property and it was about five working days, although she had a verbal talk through before the written one.
