First company £3k two replacement patio doors. Good reviews. Kind of pushy with chasing me up but seem really good will take under a day. Have given window manufacturer details etc

Second company - one man band. Will possibly take a bit longer. Good reviews, but the odd less good review - £2.5k not heard any more, he’s waiting to hear from me

Third option- partner and friend (friend does for a living) the bulk will be partner though. Significantly more ‘admin’ for me but will be just under £2k - will also need to juggle timings of when it can be done on weekends etc

I need to make a decision and I don’t know what to do

I think I’m worried about certifications etc should I sell, will they need signing off if not done by a company etc

Second one.

Thank you, I was leaning less towards this one as I had more contact from the other company but that’s ridiculous now I’ve read that back as I said I would be in touch.

have messaged to clarify something so will see what they come back with.

Thanks again

The way I read it the first company are desperate for work, the second isn’t, meaning he is good at what he does and in demand so doesn’t need you in the same way.

If/when you come to sell, you will just need Fensa certificates for any windows you have replaced. Patio doors do not need Fensa certificates (or at least, they didnt when we sold 10 years ago) so if you are just having that done then you shouldnt require any additional certificates. I would keep the invoices etc though to include in any handover pack for new owners.
