Planning required for re roofing?

Property not listed and not in conservation area but is in AONB. Trying to work out if planning permission is needed for a reroof. We want to change from concrete tile to slate but could go with slate effect concrete at a push, current tiles are the 'wavy' concrete tiles. Anyone know if PP is required? we know we will need building regs

I don’t think so, but you do need building regulation approval. Just call the planning department of your council, most are actually quite helpful.

just remember that sometimes are heavier than others, DS changes from stone to concrete due to cost, but the weight was lighter so OK
for building regulations but it may not have been the other way as it depends upon the supporting beams etc.
