Hot water tap

Hi everyone

We are getting a new kitchen installed and have decided to get a hot water tap but am driving myself mad choosing!

I have narrowed it down to-
Qettle with the chilled water unit which is around 1.5k

Or

Qooker with the water filter which is ambient temp (we have a discount code) about 1.1k

I know this is ridiculous money but a family member is very kindly paying for this and has really encouraged us to splurge on this luxury item as we have done a lot for them over the years.

I feel ridiculous spending this on a tap but if we are going to, I want to get it right.

Will we regret not going for the option of chilled filtered water?

I have a Blanco tap and I just fill a glass bottle with filtered water and put it in the fridge. Not missed having chilled from the tap.

I can't answer your question as I don't have one. My current house has one when we moved in, but I didn't keep one when I changed the kitchen. I cba with the ongoing maintenance, too much cost and hassle. Just wanted to make sure you are aware you'll need new filters and service visits? Once or twice a year, or more often perhaps if you are in a hard water area?

I love ours. We don’t have chilled but that has never bothered us (it would only need chilling half the year anyway). My husband changes the filters (and he’s no handyman). Love it

You can a Quooker Cube as an add on that dispenses chilled and sparkling water if you really want to splurge.

We have one and it’s the best thing in our kitchen, absolutely love it. We’ve never had it serviced or filtered…we just bought a generic one much cheaper from plumb world and it’s brilliant. Go for it and enjoy!
