What happens when these get taken. Do they move stuff that makes the place look shit? Not sure whether to clear myself or wait for their opinion.

It’s a good idea to dress the house for photos. The photographer might make some adjustments. They tell you what order they’re going to take the photos in and you vacate the room as necessary.

In our experience it is up to you to prepare as much as possible, they may suggest moving (or removing) the odd item but most of the time they will work with what you have done.
When we sold one house they stood by while we rapidly moved boxes & bits of furniture from one room to another but they don't have all day. With another house they photographed as we had left it (luckily everything was really tidy and the photos were fine).

Thank you. I've cleaned. Declutterred and I'll move the random bits before they come. I'm a bit worried it'll look too bland and not lived in. I think I'm overthinking.

My suggestion is that you use your phone and take some photos of rooms a different angles, review these and then tweak what's where to 'dress' it for the photos.

We shifted and dressed as she went around. She gave us her opinion but she didn’t move things.
