Accepted an offer, quietly excited!

We’re not really sharing with anyone in real life at the moment (we were burnt by a sale falling through last minute last year) but we’ve just accepted an offer on the property we are desperate to sell as we’ve outgrown it.

The buyer has viewed twice since Christmas and done a lot of research on the area, asked a lot of questions and finally come back with an offer, so I hope she’s less likely to change her mind than our previous buyer.

We’ve seen a place that we like that ticks 8/10 boxes (but we’re realistic to the fact we can’t afford to have all our boxes ticked) so will be offering on it today.

Trying to restrain the excitement but full of hope that we’ll finally have a family home where our toddler can have his own room and some space to play outside 🤞🏻Had to share with someone! Eek.

How exciting for you! Congratulations. It does sound like you’ve got a committed buyer there. Wishing you all the best.

quietly excited for you. especially if you've been burned before then you know what's in store. A well researched buyer sounds promising though. good luck.

Well we’ve put an offer in but not had it accepted yet. I suspect they’ll come back with a counter.

Just to throw a spanner in the works a property has come on the market literally today that’s in our price range and (on paper) ticks all boxes, it would need some cosmetic work and is in a worse school catchment but it’s more than twice the size, and a house rather than an apartment.

We’ve asked to see it asap, partly hoping that it’s not as good as it looks (we’ve seen some absolute horrors that looked fine in the photos) to set our minds at rest before we’re confirmed on the first one.

Once we are confirmed we’ll stop bloody looking at right move!

sounds like a sensible plan. I've started deleting right move alerts - it's wonderful!

Congratulations on selling your house @FettleOfKish and hope that this time the sale goes smoothly.

They came back with a counter and we’ve viewed it for a third time, and accepted. Eek!

After much thought we’ve written the wild card new option off due to the school catchment and location.
