Tracing Deeds of commercial property

I inherited a small commercial property on the death of my mother. It had been in my father's name and then my mother's on his death and finally passed to me on her death. I am now in the process of selling it but the Deeds seem to have disappeared. I've looked through all the old documentation I have and I do have the Land Registry certificate but the solicitor has said she will need the Deeds before we can go forwards. Is there anyone who could tell me (in simple terms!) how I go about finding the Deeds. The property has been in the family for about 70 years.

Any help much appreciated.

How about a nice deep plum

The Land Registry Certificate is the deeds

Do you, or did your parents, have a solicitor? Our house deeds are stored in their strongroom, but I don't think you should need them as the title should have been transferred to you DM after your DF's death.
