Where would be the best place near Cornwall to do so? Perhaps an up and coming area?

I'll put a pin in the map and say Bude. Good location and the demographic is quite diverse. There's still plenty of properties ripe for doing up, I find the town lively and interesting. But who knows?

ummm we did but it took 30 years all the while staying on top of maintenance and renovations.
i have a friend, her and her husband flip homes for a living. they are both very skilled but do all the work themselves (changing windows, roofing, flooring, most plumbing, lighting, painting and tiling etc.) their view is you want the worse house on the best street.

Cornwall and surrounding areas seem to be having quite a slump in values so I would say wait. More discounting to follow ;)
