If I am thinking of vaguely selling up in a few years' time, should I paint the wall in the bedroom before I put in huge wardrobes?

My bedroom is painted deep pink - a sort of raspberry sorbet colour. I realise it's not to everyone's taste. I bought some paint to redecorate (pale coffee) yonks ago but never got round to it. Next weekend I'm going to put in a huge Pax wardrobe thingy. I should paint that bit of the wall before I put it up shouldn't I? Just in case I do decide to leave London and move to the seaside ...

If you are taking the wardrobe when you go, then yes. If not, then no...also no if you think the new owners will want to decorate - tbh unless you yourself are actually going to redecorate over the pink before you go, then don't bother as that is a tin of paint opened for no reason!! Save and take it with you - now is maybe the time to be thinking about investing in the new place, stuff you can easily take.
They will peresumably be seeing photos etc of your place, with wardrobes in place, so don't worry!

My motto is never try too hard

I would paint it, mainly because if for any reason you had to leave your house unfurnished it looks unsightly with a big patch of unpainted wall and makes people question what else you did half-heartedly!!

I redecorated my bedroom and pulled out 3 single pax wardrobes, 1 double pax and 1 corner pax to paint behind.

Oh and I have repainted my room 3 times in 4 years. I found it hard to find the right colour
