Next doors roofers have damaged my windows with falling debris

We live in a mid terraced house. Next door is getting a new roof. There was bits of tiles and mortar in my garden so I went to check the bay window only to find the glass is scuffed in 3/4 places, the leading is marked and the white pvc is scratched.
Does Lia ility lie with the builder to fix (replace!) this?
Anyone been in a similar situation? I hate anything like this 😔

I would think the builders insurance should cover it- but that is IF they are insured? Have you spoken to the company yet?

Speak to your neighbours for a start and ask them to either get their roofers to pay for it or you will be wanting the neighbours home insurance details as you will be claiming off them

Did you have conversations prior to the work starting, with expectations of how it would be undertaken and the responsibilities of the builder and your neighbour?

The builder caused the damage so they are liable for the repair. Get their details and liability insurance company from your neighbour.
If you cannot claim from the builder then you can claim from your neighbour.

At least that's what my home insurer said when my neighbours builder damaged my property. In the end I just fixed the damage because I couldn't face dealing with the asshats any more.
