I want to move to Anglesey.

But… I need to do it slowly.

I’m looking for a plot of land, or a wreck, somewhere near a cove that I can swim in.

I can’t retire for another seven years, but I want to establish myself there in the meantime, on a budget which will be increased to do the work necessary as I go along (does that make sense?).

I’m checking land/property for sale all the time, but the land all seems to be in huge chunks, whereas half an acre or so (less, even!) would be enough.

My favourite place is Point Lynas. Does anyone live nearby and know of something dilapidated, or a little bit of land?

Sorry that despite my heritage and my mother visiting Ynys Mon (as I call it) for many years until her friend became infirm and subsequently died, I have no recommendations or suggestions.

Thank you. Do you visit now? I have a caravan there, but I really want to be there permanently. My mum was Welsh, but from Swansea, and we lived near Aberystwyth when I was very young. I just feel happiest when I’m there.

It depends on the potential. At the moment, I have 30k put away for land, but I could increase that if needed. Once we sell up here (when I retire), the budget for renovation, or building will be around 300k.

I know it’s a small budget, but we don’t need a big house- just something for two, and the occasional visitors.

I just want it to be close to the sea.

I know a developer who has tame estate agents who inform him of plots like this in Ynys Mon. They're very sought after. He demolishes the property, starting from scratch. He's not the only one.

I'd cast my net wider down the Lleyn Peninsula. Beautiful beaches there too.

I suspected that was happening- so little ever seems to come up for sale, but there are loads of derelict properties.

Could you find something the other side of the bridge that’s less in demand but with easy access?
