Kitchen splashback colours

Have FINALLY booked a kitchen fitter and chosen my design and colour of cabinets (navy).

Now need to decide between a dark grey or light grey worktop.

And I need to decide whether to continue the same worktop ALL along the wall behind the hob or to go for a stainless steel splashback ALL the way along the wall above the hib.

Anyone got anything similar or any thoughts?

With something dark, I would maybe go for something like a light coloured quartz.

My new kitchen is modern, no handles, mid blue. My quartz is white terrazzo. Looks really good. Quartz upstands but then we chose glass splashbacks all round. We were able to choose the colour and chose a sky/ baby blue from the Dulux range.

No colour behind it glass opaque so just the lovely blue. Rest of walls painted white.

Ah I see- the colour of the splash is blue. Hadn’t thought of that - sounds lovely.
