Dampness in walls

Recently this winter, one of bedrooms started to have moulds and damp area. After that i did loft insulation and cleared gutters. Now I see lot of hairline cracks in bedrooms and other bedroom has slight bulge in the corner and corners are bit peeling off and feel like damp. Is this something to be worried about ?
Should i consult anyone?

Without knowing more I’d say you have increased insulation in the roof, thereby trapping damp in the loft and that’s now finding a new way out.

Yes, I did. Previously it is only 100 mm and I increased to 270 mm

I made sure there is 50mm space left out for vents.

What should I do now?

What material is above the rafters? We had exactly the same issue and it was because the felt on the rafters was felt used on sheds ( typical of 80’s builds apparently) and not breathable . Had it all replaced , which meant basically taking off all the roof tiles etc and viola problem solved . Not cheap though 😩

that bulge is definitely worth keeping an eye on. if it feels soft or spongy when you press it, there might still be water trapped behind the plaster.

since you've done the gutters and loft, the room might just be struggling to dry out. i'd stick a humidity monitor in there just to check the levels. if it's consistently high, you know the damp is still active. if it's dropping, the fixes are working and it just needs time. better to check before paying for a builde

Hi,
I see a corner in ceiling of my room like this with some crack and paint bit flaky. Its dry though. What could the reason be?
Is it due to condensation or any leak?
I have a tear in roofing felt above this room but tear is more circular and relatively small.
