Landlord ignoring a leak issue

Looking for advice.
I rent out a property which has been affected by a bad leak 18 months ago from next door.
The landlord of the next door property is being very difficult and won't accept how much damage the leak has caused to my property.
My insurance accepted a claim but the amount they agreed to pay out won't cover the repair.
I've now asked the landlord to claim on his insurance but he just won't communicate.

Any ideas??

Did the insurers send out a assessor, what damage was caused, is it fixed now.

I'd get out a boundary dispute surveyor to mediate on this

so your insurance has paid out, but you consider they have not paid enough to cover your losses? Has your insurer now back off, eg is not willing to facilitate you claiming against the other party's insurer?

If that is the case your only option is to take legal action against your neighbour - whether the neighbour claims against their own insurance is then down to them.

Wrong thread?

No. If you need to liaise with next door and they won’t speak, this is how to solve it.

There is an issue with a shared wall that needs resolving and mediating. this is what they do.
