Island vs Peninsula: and the winner is…

Peninsula!

Sorry, I know this isn’t at all exciting for anyone except me but I wanted to thank you all for your help on my previous thread. I took the feedback into account and found a way to solve the main compromise of the sink being in the corner on the peninsula design.

Thanks to some 2am inspiration, I realised I could add a second prep sink to the left of the chimney breast to keep the main sink in the best location in front of the largest window, but also maintain a good working triangle.

Still haven’t decided on colour yet (samples on their way) but I would love some feedback on this design to make sure I haven’t missed any potential issues if anyone has any thoughts please?

Why do you need an extra sink and a main sink? I would be annoyed people walking behind me at that pinch point if I was at the ‘main’ sink and someone wanted to get through to the main hob area.

I assume your wall is angled (red line) - will the cabinets actually be stepped like that or is that just a software limitation and they’ll actually make it all smooth and angled?

If you look at my previous thread, I’d initially put the sink in the corner to keep the working triangle. I agreed with the feedback that corner sinks are not ideal but I can’t make it work without a second sink. I hadn’t thought about it being a pinch point (the dishwasher is also there which might be an issue) so I’ll look into that when I’m measuring again. It’s about 1100mm between.

Yes, this is a limitation with the software, the cabinets will be fitted along that wall.
