Help moving to Loudwater Rickmansworth

Hi we have had an offer accepted on a property in Loudwater, Rickmansworth. However reality is being to dawn on us that this patch has no pavements, street lighting and bus routes. I’m very worried about how my two teenagers will get about safely. We recognise that we will prob need to ferry them about by car a lot more but I’m worried about the dependency this creates every day. We both work full time and are travelling into the city 2/3 days a week. Does anyone have any experience of this area? Anyone travelling on a similar path and offer advice? It’s a new area to us, is there a community? Is it safe? Thanks for your help!

I wouldn’t move to somewhere like that with teens, as you’ll spend your life ferrying them around or paying for taxi’s. Wait until they leave school to move.

Rickmansworth is lovely but this doesn’t sound like a good fit for you at all. I would look for something more suitable.

We are looking to move and a big priority is for DS to be able to have independence and bus routes or safe cycle paths.
