To be fed up of dishwasher

Moved into new build 3 years ago and had a decent dishwasher Samsung. It worked fine then 1.5 years later water kept collecting at bottom and wouldn’t drain. Called out an engineer recommended by people living on the new build estate and he couldn’t find an issue, cleaned it and said it should be fine. Same issue happened. Called a different person same thing. Others in estate said the screws get rotted away so might be best to replace. I had a new one different make (beko) installed from AO. Fine for a month but now same thing! I’m so fed up please advise.

I wonder if the problem is the drainage beyond the dishwasher which is preventing it from emptying. I've never had this problem and I treat my dishwashers harshly!

This. Sounds like the problem isn’t the dishwashers themselves which are pretty simple and robust devices. If they don’t drain they have a safety cutoff to stop them flooding and need resetting. I would remove the dishwasher and take a look at the drain. Is it draining freely? Is it getting clogged every now and again for some reason? Maybe ask a plumber to come look at it for you and tell him you want him to specifically look at the drain and not the dishwasher.

This sounds like a drainage issue and nothing to do with the dishwashers

Drainage issue

There will be a grey/white waste water pipe coming off the dishwasher, you can probably see it in the cupboard under the sink. If it’s flat to the floor or low the water will drain back after emptying.

It needs to be draped over another waste pipe so the water can’t drain back.

I get this occasionally, and it's a blockage in the drain hose. I unscrew the where the hose attaches to the trap under the sink, clear the blockage and reattach. It's very easy to do, just have a bowl under for water.

I had this with a washing machine and it was always breaking, so I bought another one and same thing happened, turned out drainage pipe was blocked by fat from sink.

If two dishwashers have done the same thing, then the problem must be a blockage in your drainage pipework, rather than a problem with the dishwasher itself.
