Paint colour for living room?

Any paint colour suggestions for north-facing living room (with light oak floor and dark purple sofa)? Would like it to feel cosy but not dark. Hall is painted in Laura Ashley pale eau de nil (greyish green), so would like it to complement. Thank you!!

Could you follow the Laura Ashley through then have an accent wall or pattern wall paper wall? I’m all for carrying one colour through all rooms for cohesion but not blanket coverage.
