Kitchen worktops issue

Hi

I wondered if anyone had any advise or could direct me to the correct group to post this for help. We had piatra worktops installed 5 years ago. The worktops in the last year or so have developed a hairline crack in two places. The company who fitted the worktops are no longer in operation and are listed as under strike off on company’s house. When I tried to contact the person in charge of the company who installed them he told me that the worktops were supplied by XX company and gave me their contact details and then blocked me. The supplier have a 10 year guarantee against manufacturing faults, however they have said that the fault was due to how the worktops were installed and would not fall under their guarantee. Do I have any recourse for this. The worktops cost me £2.2k so I can’t believe I would have to replace them after such a short time. If anyone else has advise on what I can do I would appreciate it.

I would be pushing on the manufacturer to clarify how the installation could have caused these issues, I don't understand how the crack on the drainage board could result from bad installation.
