I used to buy flowers from Lidl - cheap and long lasting

twinsetandpearls · 07/06/2008 10:17

We always have flowers, just spent a bit more, so rather than a fiver for a bouquet I spent at least double that.

Also bought new candles, linen baskets, some flowers for the front. That is not money wasted as they will last but just annoying as we were all ready.

I was up until one making my info booklet.

info booklet ?!

Most viewers are PITA. Excuses weve had for cancelling include:-
House not on a corner.
House too far from the nearest shops.
Rooms too small.
Dont they bother to get the estate agents info and have a quick look from the outside before making an appointment to view?.
The worst ones are the nosey parkers who you discover actually live nearby and have no intention of moving.

twinsetandpearls · 07/06/2008 10:31

I posted on here last night about that. The area we live in has the top four performing primaries and the secondary of choice. It also has restauarants, nice shops etc and is one of the nicest parts of town to live. So I did a booklet with some better photos of the house and some facts about the area. It was mumsnet approved!

Anyone who is a nosey parker will be kicked up and down the street, we can smell bullshit at 100 yards.

I had a woman complain that I had "too many blinds"...duh you're not buying the blinds?!?

Today someone complained that there were too many council houses near by...why oh why did they not decide that BEFORE they arranged viewing so wasting my time!

Grrr I hate selling have vowed NEVER to do it again.

twinsetandpearls · 07/06/2008 22:59

We have blinds in all of our windows and having made my arm ache cleaning them all I am not removing them.

This is the first time I have sold my house, I helped dp sell his and it is very stressful.
