I was thinking of just painting it in little greenes slaked lime, will it be too bright ? What can I go for ? It’s quite dark in there so I’d like to brighten it up, I like neutrals though really not a fan of in your face colours like red/oranges.
And yes the beams will be painted white 😆

It looks pretty bright already. I'm not sure exactly what you want to achieve though when you say bright. The walls are already a light colour. Slaked lime is a lovely colour. I have it in deep in my bathroom. Do you just fancy a change of wall colour? Are you changing the floor or door mat?

How many more times are you going to post this?! Confused

It's already as bright as you're going to get. I actually think you could make it look very different if you picked out bits like the banister and door frame in another darker colour, but it would change the look rather than keep it the same with a very subtle difference. I'd also change the radiator to an old iron one, lower the mirror or get a bigger one that reflects more light.

You can get the radiator taken off temporarily while you put T&G panelling up
