House sale keeps falling through

Hi, not really sure why I'm posting but looking for advise or similar stories for some hope. We found out we are due our 2nd baby in April this year, with due date being mid Dec. We currently have a 3 bed property but wanted to make a move. In 6 months we have had 3 buyers and all have fallen through, and we have now lost one onwards property/ potentially 2 if we don't resell quickly. 1st buyer pulled out because their buyer pulled out, and she was pregnant and didn't want to move so close to giving birth. 2nd buyer pulled out due to survey and apparent issue with the roof, even when offered to reduce house significantly they still pulled out. We never got access to the survey so recently done our own and fixing some of the minor issues but nothing serious flagged up. 3rd buyer has now pulled out after 3 weeks, they were FTB who have just 'had a change of mind'. I feel we have done everything to pre empt any issues but are we just having bad luck? At the point now where I am due in less then 2 months and accepted we won't be moving for a while but unsure whether to keep going- any advise or hopeful stories would be great!

The market is really unsettled at the moment. I’d take your property off, save the stress and enjoy what’s ahead of you. Revisit moving once things have settled down and you are in a place more able to cope.

I would take it off the market for now if I were you. Have your baby and then think again next year. It doesn't sound as if you are under pressure to move right now.

Forget about moving until next year. The upcoming budget might throw up some property hiccups. Enjoy Christmas with your new baby. Wishing you all good health and good luck. :)

I’m firm believer that things like this happen for a reason. You’re not meant to move yet, as simple as that.

we had trouble with the buyers of our house 4 years ago eventually took it off the market upset because I had found a very nice bungalow which ticked most of our boxes

a year later we put back on the market sold literally the next day, and found the perfect bungalow that hadn’t been available when we first looked. We are meant to be here.

In terms of hopeful stories, the same happened to me: buyers 1 and 2 pulled out due to survey. It was an old house and both were ftbs who got spooked. Then someone pulled out due to a relationship breakdown - well past the survey so thought we were out of the woods. We lost two properties but I'm now in the one we ended up in and love it - it was definitely better and more affordable than those we lost too. Our buyer came along not long after the third one dropped out and it all went smoothly from there - they were a cash buyer who had fallen in love with the house when it was under offer on RM. So don't lose hope - it will sell eventually and you will end up somewhere you love.
