Hi
Builder error in extension project resulted in a masonry wall (part of original house footprint) absolutely soaking from a shower leak. Drying out has taken months so far and has not been adequately prepped. Everything they do to try to remedy has been piecemeal.
Industrial dehumidifier due to be put in place today but I was warned about charges by friends. I just looked it up and this particular model runs at equivalent of about £100 per week.
Am I reasonable to expect them to cover electricity costs? Especially, I don't believe they've exposed area to be dried sufficiently so in theory it could be running but the water to be sucked is trapped in the wall still. So it could be running ineffectually and end up needing longer to dry, with increased running costs.
Thanks! Not yet raised with builder.
