Freestanding sink splashback please help

My DD has moved into her first house and is replacing the kitchen. The main room has an l shaped kitchen with the arm coming out into the middle of the room.

The sink is on this arm. The most sensible place to put a sofa is along the back but don’t want it to get splashed from the sink.

We have spent a fair bit of time on boats and they have a mini splash back attached to the worktop that works be perfect. I’ve attached a photo to show what I mean.

But how do we find one? I’ve tried googling various search terms and can’t find anything close.

Anyone able to help?

As she is replacing the kitchen I would build a wall higher than the kitchen unit level. Plasterboard on a frame would work. New kitchen units on one side with tiles, glass or whatever on the upstand. Nice flat plastered wall on the other for the sofa to go against. I would make the upstand part deep to be used as a shelf.

Yes, exactly as @Belindabelle suggested. We have done this with a timber frame and tongue-and-groove on the back. And a row or two of tiles on the side near the sink.

This is perfect. Thank you.
