If you have Crittal doors….

do you have curtains or blinds? I love my big Crittal doors in my kitchen diner but they let in all the sun which is bleaching the furniture. Curtains would be weird but not sure blinds would work. What do others do?

It’s not crittal but we have a lot of glazing. Voiles on a bar was the way to go for us.

You can also get top down bottom up Venetians which might give you the flexibility you want. In black they could look cool with the crittal if you get individual ones for each section.

Thanks. Not sure how blinds could work. They are like this

I have lots of crittal and think that due to the style which is usually wall to wall, it’s hard to “dress” without cutting off half the crittal panels which looks rubbish. I think it’s different for sliding doors.

I want coverage for privacy (although am not overlooked) and to close in hot weather to shade the room.

I’m therefore considering electric blinds that can be manually or sensor driven, or just vertical blinds which look neat when not drawn.

I don't have Crittal doors but would love them.

I would have a double pole with sheer curtains ad a heavier pair. Or a good bamboo roller blind on each section.

I guess I could get a couple of large roller blinds? They would roll up out of sight when not in use.

How about an awning outside? The retractable canvas kind that you get in Spain. It would give sun protection without the clutter of blinds or curtains.

Full big bold curtains
