I need some help and don't know where to start. I'm abit of a perfectionist as it is so don't know if I'm nitpicking or should be concerned, but we're having a bathroom renovation done and I've noticed a few things.
Just to note we haven't paid the guys a penny yet. I brought the materials (shower cubicle, tray, wall hung toilet, bath, basin, wall vanity, taps and tiles) all myself.
They've 'almost' finished but I've noticed a few things along the way.
First I noticed they have 'dot and dabbed' the wall tiles.
They've also put the tiles onto the existing walls (which were that awful artex plaster) - opinions on this? We had a stud wall built on one side of the bathroom and the shower cubicle area did have different colour boards on which I'm assuming were waterproof ones - although it didn't go directly up to the ceiling there was a good few inch gap.
Then grout has sunken in some places and some tiles aren't a perfect cross joint in two parts.
The wall mounted waterfall tap is slanted towards the wall - I've checked with a spirit level to confirm this - which means water flowing out doesn't flow out properly and then pools at the base of the spout when it's turned off
The shower tray is draining far too slowly, I had a shower this morning and the water level was level with the top of the shower tray.
They've inserted some lights in the bathroom, and now our sockets in our bedroom have stopped working - they came back on, but have stopped again. They are aware of this issue and said they have spoken to a sparky who has told them what to do to fix it.
Please help - my husband has told me I'm nitpicking, and I don't know any other people / handymen who can give us a second opinion.
I haven't said anything to the bathroom renovators yet - as I don't know where to go from here. They did a family members bathroom who was very happy with them, and they know the family members also. And all their previous work and reviews seem to be glowing.
