First time neighbours - tips?

Moving into our first home in a lovely quiet cul de sac with about 30 houses. I’ve never had a neighbour since I was a child (always lived quite remote), do we introduce ourselves - how? I’d love to get to know who we’re living next to, apparently a few kids my LOs age too so would be nice to have friends for them but I’m so awkward I don’t know how to go about it!

Generally just a chance bumping in to each other ime. Just stop and chat if you are getting into the car/putting the bins out/gardening at the same time as your neighbours.
if you are having a house warming party you could invite several of the closest houses.
Trick or treating -knock & say ‘hello, I’m Sue this is Sean and Ann, we live at number 7’ or whatever.
Is there a park nearby? If neighbours DC go frequently you could take your DC along when you see them head out and introduce yourself there.
