Just that really.
We sold our house and moved into rented 2 years ago.
Unfortunately then lost two previous house purchases at the 7 month mark.
3rd time lucky for us hopefully as the sellers actually want to sell ! They are moving into rented and travelling so want to complete asap and we are so ready and daring to get a little excited now.
I was just looking at any APPs that might help with planning the move, as it’s looking like we’ll be done in the next 6 weeks now and have a lot of things to move !
As a working mum will need and appreciate any help (apps included) to help me ! Dd 15 has additional needs too AND it’s her GCSE year, so this will be quite stressful for her. I don’t want her having to pick up on any of my stress IYKWIM
DH works long hours and didn’t even take the day off moving day last time. He’s promised he will take a few days this time..
Just wondered if anyone has found any apps that are really useful please? Something to tick off each stage / packing / informing people etc.

TIA

I don't know if there is but I would just use a notepad then other people can tick things off as well.

I don't know of any apps but what I did when I moved (3 times in 4 years) was declutter as much as possible.

Then pack a suitcase with bed linen, towels, outfits for a couple of days, toiletries, hairdryer etc and put this in the car. I also kept anything important in my workbag and that went in the car.

I then packed as much as possible into boxes going room by room so we ate off the same 2 plates etc until we unpacked the other end.

We are from the cupboards and freezer and used other things up. I then packed an essentials box with tea bags, cat food, kettle, bottle of wine and corkscrew, cat litter, tea towels, mugs. That went in the cat along with the cats and houseplants.

We had removals to move us and put up the furniture including beds. As soon as we moved I made the beds.

It is stressful but it's just one day. You'll soon be in and eating a takeaway!

Thank you so much these are genuinely some great tips. I will keep this in mind!

Not a house moving specific app but we use the To Do app to organise ourselves across the family for tasks. Multiple people can create tasks, add items within each task and tick them off.
