advice with new kitchen

We are due to complete on our new home. We are looking to extend the current ground floor to create a kitchen diner linked to a separate snug.

The kitchen would be 4.7m by 6m

I am looking for a L shaped kitchen and perhaps some units making it a u shape, would this be too small?

Or are we better off not having the adjacent snug and have one larger space that would be 7x5?

I am reluctant to have one large open plan kitchen diner/sitting room as with little ones I find they can just become really chaotic spaces.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’d make your study and utility smaller before I broke through into the lounge. Why does the study need to be so big?

sorry it’s marked as a study but would be a sitting room/snug that would have access via double doors from the kitchen
