Are these ceiling tiles asbestos

We are moving into a house built in the 60s and plan to renovate, I am concerned the bathroom and kitchen ceiling contain asbestos as they have these weird tiles. We are going to get it tested as soon as we move in but would like some insight if anyone on here has any experience of this as well. Thanks :)

More likely to be polystyrene from the 60s. Not good from a fire perspective, but not dangerous to remove.
Don’t be tempted to paint over them. By all means have them tested, but be prepared to remove them ,and deal with the mess they leave behind ( generally glued on ).

I had a family member with those tiles when I was little, I got given spares of the ones on the left hand photo to colour in (black in the channels and multi coloured on the raised sections). No asbestos, they were just polystyrene.

Looks like polystyrene to me.

Thankyou all for your comments it has definitely put my mind at rest, never knew about them being a fire hazard so will be removing them asap!
