What security cameras to get for elderly parents

I put a blink camera by my parents front door, but I'm wondering if there is a better sort of security camera.
The problem I have (and it's a nice problem, but still....) the problem is that their house is Grade 2* listed so I cannot drill into their stonework or door at all.
So at the moment the blink camera is strapped to a garden trellis. It uses up batteries so fast its ridiculous. And because the camera triggers every time the cat walks past, or a leaf wafts in the breeze I've had to turn off the notifications to my phone to stop the constant buzzing of notifications. When I do scroll through the videos, It's thousands of videos of the front garden, leaves wafting, bees buzzing.
Is there a more intelligent camera system? With longer lasting batteries?

Our Ring only detects people or if someone rings the bell. It’s rechargeable.
Has different settings so can be set for parcels or to not react to birds and leaves etc.
