Hi!! We are a family of 4 currently living in gravesend which is a very diverse town. We are looking to upscale and are looking at close by towns like Maidstone Rochester and sittingbourne.
We saw a few houses in sittingbourne near kemsley area but would like to know more about the area in terms of diversity. Would prefer to be in a diverse area. Anyone got any thoughts please. Thanks x

Unless you want to spend half your life sitting in traffic jams don’t even think about it , it definitely isn’t as diverse as Gravesend but neither are Rochester or Maidstone .

it depends very much which bit of Sittingbourne. And the traffic is appalling. Also, to be honest, it’s not a town I would choose for a black/asian family if that’s what you mean by diverse.

We are in Gillingham and it is very diverse and we like it. Some nice houses for sale Rainham side of the town. Rainham itself is nice as is Rochester. Sittingbourne does always seem to be busy with traffic

Sittingbourne is increasingly diverse but I would say less so than Gravesend (which I am less familiar with). There appears to have been movement from London down, which I think has improved diversity, but centred particularly around the big new build estates (from what I have seen). I’m not sure Kemsley is the nicest area though - depends what you are looking for. Do you need access to train station etc? I’d say the south side of Sittingbourne towards Borden and Tunstall are the nicest bits.
