what colours etc did you choose.
ours is insurance job after massive leak, but we are changing kitchen next year ( cannot do now) and wonder about the right colour floor with what colour kitchen
we are torn ( I'm torn dp is barely registering) between light floor dark units
or darker floor wood or black slate colour and light units...
oh the dilemma
this is not the forever house so dunno why I care. As soon as recession clears we are OFF but have house to sell hence need for decent job etc
sorry mithering on some aren't I?

kitchen has pale creamy type karndean - cleans up a treat. Bathroom has oak type - also lovely! Enjoy!

ooh, will share re my kids' bathroom:
has enormous double sized bath for bathing them all at once (they are all born within 2.5 yrs and still under 5 so this works with us for a while yet... and actually saves water atm.) they LOVE it. takes up half the bathroom but so what?
tiled all the way up around the bath and to shoulder height round rest of room. the window is over the bath, but thats waterproof and got frosting sticker thing on it for privacy (looks good, not shitty like it sounds).
theres a shower over the bath which is height adjustable, on side nearest wall, so no screen needed (to be permanently covered in scalemarks)
the floor is TANKED with drain in middle. love this. no amount of spillage is a prob.
there are 2 sinks for argument free teeth brushing.
and bog is one of those out of the wall jobbies , so dead easy to mop from a distance
the floor is covered in that stuff they use industrially, y'know, a type of lino which goes up the wall a bit. tis nice colour.
and theres a spray head off the bath taps which means i can spray the whole room from a distance for easy rinsing/cleaning.
love it.
oh, and ikea hooks on rad for towels/robes.

Ooooh a Karndean thread! Can I hang onto the coat tails of this one and ask a related question - we are still at early stages, getting kitchen/dining room knocked into one big room in a couple of weeks ...

Now I already have lovely Art Select Hickory Peppercorn planks in the hallway; the living room off the hallway has a beige/light camel coloured carpet; should I go with a similar colour to the living room in the kitchen to contrast against dark planks, or something completely different, would black slate look odd? (can't afford any more matching woodplanks unfortunately!)

BTW I have absolutely no idea about kitchen units, prob shaker ...

I know it's not exciting stuff ...!
