Living in a terrace house

The noise is unbearable, I can hear from neighbour tv, running up and down the stairs, banging doors. I was thinking of buying a soundproof noise divider but not sure if this will help. Any ideas what I can do to reduce the noise?

I moved to a property half the size of my lovely terrace - my new property is tiny but detached.

In the old terrace, the parents spoke to their children at full shout as they were talking to the children with the TV on full blast and the children were rarely in the same room as them while having a conversation. Don't get me started on the noise made by their bully type dog....

However, neighbours on the other side were lovely
