I am buying a new build. To help things when moving in, I am thinking of looking at their flooring options. This means I could floor all of downstairs, move into downstairs only, and the day after I move in have carpet fitter of my choice do upstairs.
I am yet to have the sales pitch over flooring, and I fully expect it to be RRP not the remnants etc that my supplier has got for me before.
- HOW expensive are we talking? I am wanting either engineered wood floor or maybe good LVT throughout downstairs (apart from sitting room), likely just one colour/pattern.
- What quality are the carpet and hard floor options? I prefer a carpet with some wool in/wool carpet and which will last well. My current carpets are a decade old and in showing people my old house a few asked if they were all new....
