Which new kitchen worktop?

I'm looking to replace our old Duropal Taurus Stone 38mm worktops. I don't want to do any other updating so am looking at 38mm laminate again. I just wondered what might liven the room up a bit without going too crazy. Although I don't know if that's possible with kitchen worktops! Lol.
Here's an old photo of the kitchen cabinets/tiles etc from when it was installed. Oh but the walls are cream and the worktop will extend and the free-standing cooker be replaced with hob/oven inset into worktop. The cupboards are more beige then they look here.
Any thoughts?

We have a formica brushed concrete worktop in our utility, which might work in this kitchen.https://www.formica.com/en-gb/products/axworktop/PP6275

When googling I saw a 'concrete' one and wondered whether it might be more on trend than our old one. Thanks, I'll take a look at them.
