Oriel window with seating

We've decided to get an oriel window with storage and window seat - has anyone done? I can't decide whether to go for a non opening box Or get something with bifold opening windows? Be great to hear what others have done.

We have oriel windows but not with storage underneath as there wouldnt be room. Plus we’d have to break through the structure. ( Ours is Like the image )
We do have window seats

If I was adding one now I’d definitely have seats, storage and shutters if there’s room to hide them in the reveal detail when open

I have a modern glass box oriel window with a windowseat, no storage underneath as that’s where the cat flap goes.

Actually technically ours isn’t an oriel, more of a bay window as it’s got brick to the ground rather than hanging out into space

I did think about having something opening but it was going to get very expensive or look a bit clunky. so ours is just a fixed glass box

If I was doing it again I think I wouldn’t have a glass roof on it as it does become a bit of a mini greenhouse in summer.

Ours has one glass side and one solid side which makes it much more comfortable as a window seat, would recommend
