Chenille Sofas hardwearing and fairly easy to keep clean?

Looking to buy new chenille 3 and 2 seater sofas as our last leather sofa peeled after only 3 years. Would you recommend the fabric chenille? Been told very hardwearing and easy to keep clean. Also fancy a change after 3 leather sofas. Think the chenille will add some texture to our room too. Would add we have grandkids and a very occasional dog visitor to consider.

I have a fabric (suede type) sofa, I dont have small children, but do have animals. Im not sure about hard wearing, it does have all the coatings to make it easy to clean/stain resistant.

I prefer leather, however one of the dogs loves leather too much and has a nibble. So this time we chose this one for a change. Seems to be ok and is 3 years old now.

Thanks for your post and the tip about microfibre velvet. Just been shopping with hubby and he said the chenille wasn’t his 1st choice or words to that effect. Will keep looking.

This place was great, the sofa excellent quality, the customer service brilliant, and they threw in Staingard free of charge.
