New bathroom and 2nd shower pump is broken!!

We had a new bathroom fitted about 18 months ago with a Salamander pump installed. It worked beautifully for 17 months until it ‘seized’. Because it was under warranty, our fitter ordered a replacement and installed it. 3 weeks later and it’s broken again! He charged us £120 for the work which is fair enough but it’s just so frustrating that it’s broken again. Does anyone have any experience of this?

I googled Salamander Shower pump reviews and a site called Pistonheads came up. There were a few plumbing people who said they didn’t recommend them due to issues. There are quite a few grumbles about them on Trustpilot too. Maybe you should cut your losses and replace it either way another make. Sorry if that’s not helpful.,
