Hi,
Has anyone bought the cheaper make vintage style fridge/freezer. I've seen CDA and Electriq and keen to know what people think?
I also wonder if I wait a year or so and eke out my current one will they increase in energy efficiency?
Many thanks and sorry if in wrong topic.
All advice appreciated.

They look nice, the CDA ones

I think I know which one(s) you are referring to as I've been looking at it (them) recently.

The only thing I'm unsure of is it's capacity as one reviewer has said the inside is smaller than expected.

May suit a one, or two person household at the most.

Just to add to my post, but the fridge/freezer I've been looking at is the 50/50 ElectriQ 153 Litre retro freestanding.

In terms of energy efficiency, check the energy label of the appliance and look at those with the best rating for the appliance size you require.

Choosing an energy efficient fridge freezer is arguably even more important when you consider that your fridge freezer is constantly switched on and running.

Hi, thanks for the message. Energy efficiency at E is quite good compared to many others. I'm looking at the larger one 244l I think but wish there was a middle ground of say 200 litres. I'm going into a shop to see what the size looks like (not the electriq but what say 60 or 80 litre freezer space looks like. I think the 244 is 60/40.

Had ours 2 weeks and I love it - she’s a beauty! TBH only got her because of the colour (I loved the pink one but the gold trim wouldn’t go with our other appliances) and it’s the utility fridge, but no complaints and she makes me smile every day! (I also don’t know why I’ve sexed her - I never name things - but she’s so lovely!)

Hi, it looks really good. Is the freezer at the top with 2 shelves? I thought this may be a bit small so interested in size of household or if you have another freezer? I don't think the freezer part is frost free - so many things to think about !!
Is it a satin or gloss finish? Sorry about all the questions 😀

@topcatmumYes, freezer at the top with 2 shelves. TBH we are a family of 4 and this is our “extra” fridge in the utility e.g the freezer of this one is for ice cream only, so not sure what it would be like as an only freezer. Not a gloss finish, and I’d say more Matt than satin…it is beautiful so it depends if you want the best fridge/freezer or one that does the job and looks great 👍

Thanks, that's super helpful, I thought that would be the case.

I've also been looking at the 153l electriq but it seems oddly deep vs all the others in their range at 66cm. I phoned Electriq to ask what the depth was without the handles but they said they didn't know
