Are there any estate agents on here? Rental application question.

I've applied for a property that I absolutely loved. I've since been informed that there is another viewing booked in. My application is going through at the moment. My references will all come back great, I have proof of paying rent on time and my salary etc, however, my credit rating is quite poor.

My question is could the Agent and landlord l offer me the property and cancel their upcoming viewing or are they more likely to honour their other viewing and see what they want to do before offering me or them?

I'm so anxious. I desperately want it.

They will likley honour a booked viewing. The landlord will then have the choice, assuming the other viewing also wishes to proceed.

Thank you @DrySherry

I will be devastated if I miss out on this one but there'll be others, I'm sure.

I am an agent

Have you paid a holding deposit? You usually do prior to references. If they have taken that and still showing then they are acting unlawfully

it’s a holding deposit to hold the property whilst references are undertaken, the clue is in the name!
