Sofa for first floor Help!

After many years we have finally decided to get new sofas. Problem is that our lounge is on first floor. Currently have a recliner that separates into two pieces but it’s big and ugly and quite dated. I really want something in a classic style- high backed ish but can’t find one I like that will fit.
we have a two seater sofa in the lounge also thst got up the stairs and it is 170 cm wide.
Can anyone recommend a company that might sell sofas suitable or tell me how you got your sofa up the stairs. Currently thinking I might have to remove the bannister!

You could get someone to take the window out?

IKEA sofas come in pieces if that helps.

Or you should be able to take the banister off

We went with ikea sofas when we had this issue. I have to say the ones we got still look great 10 years later, and very comfortable.

Thanks for these suggestions. Gives me more to look at.

Furniture shops will be able to help you and point out which are modular or backs can come off etc. you also need an expert delivery team, have recently been involved with a national firm just not trying hard enough…the next guys did it in minutes.

Depends how much you want to spend too. Have a look at Darlings of Chelsea.
