We are considering adding a fixed pane of fire rated glass above the internal fire door leading to our kitchen. There is already an opening with normal wood frames. I understand that the fire rated glass will need to be installed into a fire rated frame? Just wondering if anyone had done similar things in their house, and what's the most cost effective solution please? Thanks!
