We're on benefit and I think we might qualify for a heating and insulation grant - we are moving to an old flat with a 25year old boiler and it is apparently very cold and expensive to heat.
I did a bit of googling and saw that some schemes pay for a new central heating system, if your boiler is over 20 yo - but not sure what this means - does the landlord have to contribute at all? Would they replace the whole system?
I've never had this done and just wondered if anyone else has claimed this kind of help and if so, was it Ok? Did you have to pay towards it?
