Plasterboarding job costs

Currently trying to get costs to plasterboard ceiling of a small outbuilding. 8 ft square approx. It’s fiddly because of its size but a relatively low ceiling.

Todays quote has come in, to plasterboard and plaster - £2.5k.

This is nothing like how much I thought it would cost. Is this the going rate?? (London S/E)

They don’t want the job.

Get some more quotes......we just had our bathroom battened out, insulated, plasterboarded, plastered, plus a new door for that! South Hertfordshire so not far off 'London prices'

Bag of plaster - £25
plaster board - £6pm2.

tradie + labourer day rate. £600

they simply don’t want the job. Pricing really high so they either don’t get it or if they do it’ll be worth while.
