Fed up of yet another bill

Sorry, this is a bit of a moan, I don’t even know what I want from this really.

my car required a very large repair earlier in the year which wiped out my savings. I’d been really pleased with myself to have rebuilt some savings over the last 6 months. Now I have a hole in my roof. Repair bill incoming for £1600. When looking at it tonight, I notice plants growing out of my guttering….another bill to come 😭

im fed up and it seems so unfair, none of my neighbours have any plants growing, none of them seem to be having constant work done.

just a bit fed up that it feels like as a single parent I am trying to keep all the plates spinning and life (or houses and cars) keeps draining my money from me!

this will again leave me with no savings.

Totally hear you, OP. I have a big barn of a house. I've had £8700 done to it this spring/summer just to catch up with basic maintenance and there's at least £1800 more to do...

Yes, I also have a collapsing fence that will fall down this Autumn/winter as it’s barely holding up in a summer breeze. I can’t afford to mend it/replace it. I’d hoped to but of course the hole in the roof has taken that money.

im also worried I now have no savings

Yup. I was beyond despair after buying a maisonette last year that had tons is issues that was not identified in the survey. Massively overpaid. Name we need two new bathrooms, new roof, the garden office is rotten inside and infested with ants….
I’m in a lucky position as my deposit was high, so I am taking a second mortgage in the house to basically rip everything apart and start over. I wouldn’t be able to cope otherwise. Everything costs a fortune now. And adding the fear of more tax rises, I’m not sure how I will be able to afford paying my mortgage long term.

That's life and it's tough at times. I do get it.
