Letting agent in London recommendation

Hi all, Looking for recommendations please. We are planning to move out of UK - I’m looking for a reliable estate agent who can rent and manage my flat in West London. Someone who is personalised, informed keep up with all the regulations whilst looking after the property well without random unpredictable charges.

Would anyone recommend one that they used? Thanks in advance 🙏

Not Portico, unreliable and money hungry.

I’ve always found KFH ok. They’re occasionally annoying, but better than most I think.

Hello OP,

Have a look at EAST AVENUE ... they were on Simon Squibb's 'What's Your Dream' and they give money to SHELTER for every flat/home rented and sold.

I just thought it was such a fabulous idea and I think they are now expanding in all London areas.

Charmill in Maida Vale. Absolutely brilliant to deal with.

please define "West London"

  • west end?
  • Shepherds Bush?
  • Ealing?
  • Hayes/ Heathrow?
  • Staines?
all are west London to at least some people and contain 100+ letting agents

My friends rented thru them and they are not great in my neck to the woods. Agree probably better than some others

They are awful and pushy if you are a tenant or buyer, but if you are a landlord or seller that is kind of what you want.

Their experience was more like use of poor tradesmen, unfinished work, repeat repairs for same issue that continued to be unresolved. I’m guessing all this charged to the landlords with a hefty margin. I also want my tenants to be taken care of well.

Oh fair enough - we bought via them in south London and they were pushy and officious which was a pain in the arse for us as buyers, but they were pretty competent. Dealt with other estate agents in our area who were just completely useless.

This is good to know for when I want to sell my place 😊
