How would you remodel this ground floor?

As the title suggests. Interested in a house which needs some modernisation and, in particular, remodelling of the ground floor. It’s a Victorian cottage with a more modern extension to the side and rear.

For various reasons I don’t think re-siting the stairs is possible. The garden is to the right hand side of the house (on this floor plan) rather than the rear.

I’m interested in ideas at this stage, so pretend I have an unlimited budget (I wish).

I quite like that layout. What do you want to achieve?
Stairs can always be moved.

The dining room feels a bit of a lost space and a bit dark (as it’s windowless - semi-detached), and the best views over the garden are a bit lost by having the biggest window just as you come through the entrance porch.

You could swap the kitchen and dining space, with access to the utility from the current dining room. But it seems a lot of work for not really a big gain?
