Put house on market 15 months ago. Looking to relocate to rural area 3 hours away due to HB job burnout. We’d have enough equity to buy outright, so he can recover and start again. 3 failed sales and 4 failed purchases later and we’re broken. Onward purchase fell through Monday. Buyers have been dilly dallying since Feb. reduced price to eye-watering amount to get them over the line, to find out their buyer’s purchase fell through 2 months ago??? Said they weren’t told? New buyer lined up but surveys etc ongoing. We will now have to rent as need to get LO in school for September. Have given them till middle of August or we’re coming off the market. Don’t know where to turn or what to do. Looking at quick sale companies as a plan B. Started this all the reduce our stress levels but these have increased 10 fold!

The system is rubbish. How can people be expected to move around the country for work? Especially if have to get school places.

you’ll get hammered with stamp duty if you turn your current property into a btl but it might get you moved at least

We're nearly 2 years into our house sale/buying, living in a rental now having sold and waiting on our 4th possible house after 3 fell through.
I'm now pretty stoical. Sympathies. We will get this one though, contracts are signed. But sellers position uncertain at the mo.
God help me I've been through every emotion there is!

I don’t know who is telling the truth anymore? We’ve been 100% honest and transparent in all our dealings, perhaps that’s our mistake? Should we hold out for this to go through or just take the money and run. The toll it’s taken on our family seems too high a price to pay honestly?
