Wesley barrell sofas are lovely I like both tbh it depends on the setting and whether you like a fixed back like number 2 or cushions.

WanderingTrolley · 25/05/2008 13:21

No 2 - Hinton

T'other doesn't have sufficient armrestage for hangovers and the cushions fit better. I like the shape of the back.

littlemissbossy · 25/05/2008 13:22

numeo dos - has higher arms - better for resting on iyswim

Shitemum · 25/05/2008 13:24

definately number two. number one looks like its got its elbows tucked in...

Tutter · 25/05/2008 13:26

you see i liekd no.2 to begin with

but it's to go in a fairly longa nd narrow room (30x16ft) and the lady in w-b pointed out that the other one (campden) would fit that shape of room better - lower arms means there it less 'intrusion' into the room

or dop i sound as though i'm talking bolleaux?

OP posts:
Tutter · 25/05/2008 13:27

both have fixed backs btw

Shitemum · 25/05/2008 14:15

number one is horrible, the folds of fabric on the arms will be tatty in no time.

Tutter · 25/05/2008 14:21

views on a third option?

RustyBear · 25/05/2008 14:23

Number 2 or number 3 - I like to have decent arms & I think the middle leg on number one looks odd.

Tutter · 25/05/2008 14:25

the middle leg will appear on all of the sofas in the size we need - tis there for support in their 3+ seater sizes

Shitemum · 25/05/2008 14:26

still number two here, like the shape of the back. arms on number three stick out too much - will they withstand being sat on?

Tutter · 25/05/2008 14:26

sit on the arms?

not in the tutterhole

OP posts:
Shitemum · 25/05/2008 14:27

are they all the same length? number 3 looks shorter than number 2

NorksDrift · 25/05/2008 14:30

Have you looked at George Smith?

artichokes · 25/05/2008 14:33

Uno - I prefer the more simple shape.

Tutter · 25/05/2008 14:34

hmmm - nothing on there 100% floats my boat

but thanks for link -- any others? i only really know of w-b and beaumont & fletcher

OP posts:
Tutter · 25/05/2008 14:35

phew

thanks artichokes - good that someone likes it

but am now dithering re lack of lounging support - i do like to slump of an evening

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 25/05/2008 14:36

one definately

artichokes · 25/05/2008 14:48

Surely Uno is good for a slump? One arm is the perfect height for a head rest and the other for a foot rest.

Shitemum · 25/05/2008 14:48

if you like to slump you need more substantial arms than number 1 has.

Tutter · 25/05/2008 14:49

ah, that would be the Full Slump, artichokes

i'm a fan of the Demi-Slump - that is, sitting on legs, slumped sideways, resting on sofa arm

OP posts:
PictureThis · 25/05/2008 14:54

I prefer number 2. I like the arms on it and the overall shape

artichokes · 25/05/2008 15:09

Clearly you just need to be more ambitious in your slumping. Perfect the art of the full-slump and you can get the lovely sofa with the clean lines .

MuffinMclay · 25/05/2008 19:55

No 2.

Arms too low on 1.
Back too high on 3.

ButterflyMcQueen · 25/05/2008 21:39

number two for me on account of arms
